Maxis Lenovo A6000 Plus

The mid-range smartphone market is getting very fierce, especially in Malaysia. The Lenovo A6000 Plus is now available for a retail price of RM699, but if you sign up for a contract with Maxis, you can get it for free.

Maxis is offering the Lenovo A6000 Plus for free when you sign up for a MaxisONE Plan. MaxisONE plan costs RM128 a month, which comes with 2GB of data and limitless calls and SMS to all networks. The bundle also comes with a free casing and screen protector.

Sadly though, the telco isn’t offering it on their online store so if you would like to purchase the A6000 Plus, you’ll need to contact Maxis to find out how. Details of the bundle is not listed on Maxis’ website, but if it’s the same with the other device bundles the telco is offering, it should tie you up to a 24 months contract under the MaxisONE plan. Upfront and advance payments are usually required upon subscription.

[Update 7 May 2015] Maxis has added the plans on their Lenovo A6000 Plus product page:

Maxis Lenovo A6000 Plus Plans

The Lenovo A6000 Plus is one of the latest mid-range Android smartphone from Lenovo to reach our market. In terms of specs, it is very similar to the A6000 with a 5” HD display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. However, Lenovo bumped up the hardware a little, giving it 2GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Everything else still remains the same such as dual-SIM support, LTE connectivity, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 2300mAh battery, and a dimension of 70mm x 8.2mm x 141mm.
