We attended the official product launch for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in Malaysia. Samsung Malaysia held the event at the Samsung Experience Store located in The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley with lots of activities lined up for the day. More photos after the jump:
Other than the official arrival of the device, world-renowned Malaysian badminton player and Brand Ambassador for Samsung Malaysia – Dato’ Lee Chong Wei has also made an appearance at the event, together with Lee Jui Siang, Vice President of Mobile, IT and Digital Imaging of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The first 50 customers who purchase a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge at the launch event were entitled to receive a badminton racquet autographed Dato’ Lee Chong Wei himself. These lucky fans even had their photos taken by a specially-appointed “mobile phone cameraman”.
Winners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge hunting campaign, which was held in conjunction with Hitz.FM and Era FM, were also on hand to officialy receive their prizes. The campaign had fans scouring the Klang Valley for the Samsung Guy, whose location was periodically revealed by the two radio stations. All the hunters had to do was approach the guy and speak the phrase “I want my Galaxy S6”.
