Surface 3

You might have heard that Microsoft has planned to release a smaller and more affordable version of its Surface Pro 3 tablet – called Surface 3 – next month in several markets throughout the world including Malaysia. What you might have missed though that the company is also planning to come out with an LTE version of the tablet.

While the availability of such variant in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment, the Surface team has confirmed through its recent Reddit AMA session that the team is working to deliver a Surface 3 variant with unlocked LTE connectivity. By having unlocked LTE connectivity, this particular variant will not be bound to telco contracts and chances are that it also able to support numerous LTE networks throughout which would made the Surface 3 highly mobile.
