Google Malaysia has just announced that AdSense, the giant company’s online advertising platform, is now available in Bahasa Malaysia. Many websites and blogs rely on AdSense to generate income for their sites, and while the availability of it in Bahasa Malaysia might not seem like a big deal, it does offer several benefits.
For one thing, websites that are written in Bahasa Malaysia will definitely benefit from this. As AdSense displays targeted ads that will show “relevant and engaging ads” on any site, displaying ads that are in Bahasa Malaysia will probably be more understandable and relatable to readers of the respective sites.
Other than that, Google Malaysia mentioned that around 60% of the Malaysian population’s primary language is Bahasa Malaysia, which, needless to say, is a pretty significant figure. It also went on to say that there are approximately 40 million native Bahasa Malaysia speakers in the region, with over 220 people worldwide that speaks the language.
That being said, not only Malaysians will find the availability of Google AdSense in Bahasa Malaysia useful. Google Malaysia hopes that this will support publishers to create even more quality content in our official language.
