Desperately need a data plan to make sure you won’t get charged at a pay-per-use rate, or get disconnected completely from the internet? Altel recently introduced a new “Cili Padi” data plan that offers 200MB data at only RM4.
On top of the existing data plans offered, Altel recently introduced a Cili Padi plan that offers 200MB of data for only RM4. It is valid only for 48 hours (from the time of subscription), but if you really need some data, or you just wish to keep your second line connected to the web, it sounds like a pretty good deal.
To subscribe, simply dial *102# on your Altel number, and choose BROADBAND followed by 200MB RM4. Alternatively, you can also send an SMS “MB 200MB” and send to 25835. To check the validity of your data, simply send “MB BAL” to 25835. Do note that after you exceed the 200MB limit, you will be charged at a pay-per-use rate of 5sen/MB.
The rest of the data plans offered by Altel remains the same, with 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB and 5GB of data to offer at RM15, RM28, RM48, ,RM58 and RM80 respectively. All the data plans have 30 days validity, except for the 1GB and 2GB options, which offers 90 days of validity upon subscription.
