If you need a new television for your home, Sony has just taken the curtains off a new BRAVIA TV series (with more to come for 2015) that features some pretty exciting things on board like an ultra slim design, a new 4K Processor X1, as well as support for Android TV.

Sony’s new BRAVIA TVs ranges from 43” to 75”, with 4 new series and 9 new models all scheduled for 2015. With a new 4K Processor X1 built into these TVs, they can now output stunning video content with enhanced clarity, colour and contrast, while improving the streaming quality of images that 4K content providers supply. On top of that, together with 4K X-Reality PRO upscaling technology, the new TVs will be able to upscale any of your video content, regardless or the source, to 4K resolution.

But what makes these TV more intriguing is their support for Google’s latest Android TV operating system. This means that you can now have a seamless experience with your TV and all your mobile gadgets including smartphones, tablets, and even SmartWear. To be available in Sony’s 2015 line-up of BRAVIA TVs, Android TV support will bring enhanced features like Google Cast and Voice Search – you can also access Google Play to download and enjoy all the apps that you love right on the TV.

So this is what the teaser was about!

The lineup of BRAVIA TVs scheduled for this year includes the star of today, the X9000C Series, the thinnest LCD TV yet from Sony. Measuring at 4.9mm slim at its thinnest point, the X9000C features a new floating style design, and offers edge-to-edge viewing experience on its “virtually frameless” panels. As expected, the X9000C will feature all the abovementioned technologies on board – 4K Processor X1 and Android TV support.
