Teclast Is Coming To Malaysia, Will Bring Dual OS Tablets

Teclast Models

Founded in 1999, Teclast is an R&D company which produces powerful yet affordable tablets. The company will be bringing three new tablets – Teclast X98 Air 3G Dual OS, Teclast X80h Dual OS and Teclast P70 3G at their official launching at the end of this month, April 2015.

Teclast X98 Air 3G Dual OS

The Teclast X98 Air runs on two operating systems – Android 4.4 and Windows 8.1. It features a 9.7-inch IPS screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution. Under the hood, the tablet runs on a 64-bit quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T Z3736F processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablet has 3G capabilities with GPS built-in, which allows it to make calls on Android and has data services enabled on Windows. On the front, there’s a 2MP and a 5MP camera on the back. In terms of memory, it has 32GB of internal storage which is also expandable via a microSD card slot. To power the device, it has a huge 8,500mAh battery.

This tablet has hardware specifications similar to the Teclast X98, but it comes in a smaller form factor. What sets the two apart is that this tablet runs on a slightly different processor – quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T Z3735F. Other than that, it has an 8-inch screen with a 16:10 screen ratio and 1280 x 800 resolution. The device also runs on dual operating systems, but it does not have 3G capabilities. On the front, it has a 0.3MP camera and a 2.0MP camera on the back. A 5,000mAh battery is in charge of powering the device.

Teclast P70 3G

The Teclast P70 3G is a lower-end 7-inch tablet with an IPS panel and 1280 x 800 resolution. It sports a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8392 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. A 2.0MP camera is equipped on the back while the front has a 0.3MP camera.Not only that, it has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. A 2,700mAh battery can also be found on the Teclast P70 that runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

These devices will be distributed by Brightgate Distribution Sdn. Bhd, and will make their debut in Malaysian markets by 29 April 2015. The X98 Air will cost RM899 while the X80h will set users back at RM599. The more affordable P70 3G model will have a price tag of RM399 and all these prices are inclusive of GST. A bluetooth keyboard which acts as a casing for the X98 Air will also be sold separately.
