Oppo will be celebrating its one year anniversary in Malaysia next month, and the company says that it will be giving back to its loyal fans. There will be some gifts accompanying Oppo smartphones bought during the month of April and, most importantly, the price of the Oppo R5 is being reduced by RM200.
The incredibly thin Oppo R5 smartphone will be sold for RM1,598 beginning 1 April, down from the current price of RM1,798. However, this only applies to the silver, white, and grey models of the smartphone. The limited edition Gilded R5 remains at the original price. It should be noted that the RM1598 price tag is same as the pre-order price from when the smartphone was first launched last December.
Customers who buy the Oppo R5 during the month of April will also receive an iLIKE Ultra-Thin design PV leather powerbank free of charge. This powerbank comes in two colours, blue and pink; and weighs about 86g. Those who decide to buy the Oppo R1L will also be gifted the same power bank. That being said, the power bank only has a capacity of 3,600mAh; which is a little less than some of us have gotten used to.
Other Oppo smartphones to receive freebies are the Find 7 (which is packed with an original leather cover worth RM98), the Oppo Joy, and the Oppo Neo 5. Both Oppo Joy and Neo 5 smartphone purchased in the month of April will receive an extend warranties. The validity of the warranty for both smartphones will last for one and a half years, instead of the normal one year period.
These rewards and gifts will last for the duration of the month of April, beginning on the 1st of the month and ending on the 30th. As usual, these gifts will be available from authorised Oppo dealers and Oppo official stores; and consumers are advised to stick to these to ensure they are getting proper support for their purchases.
