As PC gamers wait eagerly for the arrival of GTA V to grace their gaming powerhouses, they might need to wait a little longer than expected as Rockstar Games announced another delay for the fifth instalment of their Grand Theft Auto series. The game was supposed to be released to the public on 24 March, but has now been rescheduled to 14 April 2015.
This is not the first time the company delayed GTA V for PC. Back in July 2013, the company stated it had no comment on a PC version of the game, but later a bug log showed that a PC version was indeed in the works. The company then made an official announcement back in September 2014 that the game would be released on 27 January 2015.
However, it got delayed to 24 March and is now being pushed back further to 14 April 2015. For those who pre-ordered the game, they will receive an additional $200,000 in-game cash on top of the existing $1,000,000, to be used in GTA Online as a token of appreciation from Rockstar Games for their patience.
Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has also announced that GTA V Online Heists will be coming to consoles on 10 March. This multiplayer mode allows 4 players of rank 12 and above to team up and carry out raids and robberies over Los Santos and Blaine County. A heist leader will be chosen and he/she will lead the team throughout the mission. Each player carries out their roles, constantly communicating with one another in order to pull off the heist.
PC gamers don’t have to worry though as the same mode will be made available for the PC version of GTA V right on its launch day itself in April. So, let’s hope Rockstar Games will not delay the game once again.
