Microsoft has just announced the Nokia 215, an extremely affordable Internet-enabled feature phone that will only cost you US$29 (about RM100). If you need a spare phone just in case something happens to your smartphone, this entry-level feature phone might be what you’re looking for.
At RM100, you will get a feature phone that is capable of staying connected to Facebook and Twitter. It will also have a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 display and a 0.3 megapixel camera. Of course, there won’t be any WiFi or touchscreen, but it does include Bluetooth 3.0 and the SLAM technology. This allows two SLAM capable phones to share information by putting them close to each other.

According to Microsoft, the Nokia 215 have an impressive 29 days of standby time with up to 20 hours of talk time. Considering that the feature phone has a huge 1100mAh battery (for a phone this size), it is definitely within the realm of possibility.
Other notable features include web browsing capability thanks to the Opera Mini Browser, an LED torchlight, microSD card support up to 32GB, single SIM and dual-SIM variants, and a design that’s “built to last.” Will it be able to live up to the legendary durability of the Nokia 3310 though?
The Nokia 215 will be available in bright green, black, and white, and will be coming to Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa in the first quarter of 2015.
