Xiaomi is celebrating Christmas early this year, and wants to spread the cheer with its fans. On top of the new 16,000mAh, Silver Mi In Ear Headphones and the new Redmi 4G bundles, the company is also giving the chance for fans to win the Redmi Note 4G via its Ultimate Gift Battle Contest.
During the flash sales, it isn’t uncommon for consumers to constantly click the F5 button to refresh the product page to check if there is still stock available. This was especially prevalent in the early days of Xiaomi’s flash sales here. In some ways, the Ultimate Gift Battle pays tribute to that with its ridiculously easy contest: to click the Spacebar key more times than your randomly-generated opponent on Facebook.
The game is that easy. You’ll be paired with another Facebook user who has liked any of Xiaomi’s official Facebook pages, and you’ll then have 15 seconds to spam that spacebar key faster than your opponent. If you win, you’ll get a present that may be a Redmi Note 4G. If you lose, you get nothing.
To start off, each user will get 2000 points. Each game costs 500 points to play, and you’ll receive a present for winning the game. Inside can be anything from a Redmi Note 4G, F Codes to buy the Redmi Note 4G, 1000 points to play an additional two games…or nothing. Seriously.
What’s actually pretty interesting is the fact that this contest is actually a huge project that has gone live in basically all of Xiaomi’s international markets: Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India and Indonesia. Hence, you’ll be facing off with Facebook users from these countries to win the prizes.
