HTC Malaysia sure didn’t take long to bring its latest offerings to our shores. Just a couple of months ago, HTC unveiled the Desire EYE and the RE Camera, two new products that will satisfy any selfie or camera addict. This 5th December, a launch event for these two devices will be held here.

The HTC Desire EYE has a 13MP rear and front cameras, which probably makes this the go-to phone for any selfie addict. It is also IPX7 rated for water resistance with a double-shot plastic unibody construction, so surviving a couple of knocks here and there and the occasional water accidents shouldn’t be an issue for this phone.

Under the hood of this 5.2-inch 1080p display phone is a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it has 16GB of internal memory that can expanded with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB.

The other product that is also launching next Friday is the RE camera. The RE camera is a first-of-its-kind cylindrical-shaped camera that HTC boldly claims will “reinvent photography.” In terms of hardware, it is a very capable shooter with a 16MP CMOS sensor and a f/2.8 146-degree wide-angle lens.

Retail price of the Desire EYE and RE Camera has not been revealed yet. Expect the price and availability of these two products to be announced at the launch event next Friday.
