Now that the new flagship smartphones from Samsung and Sony have been announced – Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Sony Xperia Z3, how do they stack up against existing flagship smartphones in the market? We take their specs and compare it with some of the hottest devices right now including the Xiaomi Mi 4, OnePlus One, Oppo Find 7, HTC One (M8), LG G 3 and more, so hit the break to check the pretty large table out.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Sony Xperia Z3 were announced late last night. Samsung took the curtains off not only one Galaxy Note device, but also surprised consumers with a brand new Galaxy Note Edge that features a curved display. We’ve seen the prototype before in previous Samsung events, but the Note Edge is a final product and will be heading to the shelves very soon. No specific timeline has been given, but Samsung is known to be very fast with their product launches around the world including Malaysia, so hopefully we can see the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge in our shores soon.
As for Sony, we’ve seen many rumours and leaks over the past couple of months and I guess they were all true. The new Xperia Z3 features only minor improvements over the previous generation Xperia Z2, but hey, if it means that it will be more affordable, why not? Again, no timeline has been given but if you remember our previous post, Sony sent out an invite to us for a regional event in Singapore happening middle of this month, so let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed that they will be bringing the Z3 (along with Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet compact, Sony Lens Style QX1 and QX30 cameras, and the new Action Cam Mini) to our region soon.
