We know you’ve been waiting for it, here is the Sony Xperia Z3, the new flagship smartphone from Sony mobile. The Xperia Z3 packs the best of Sony technologies into a 5.2” smartphone with amazing camera, camcorder and audio technologies, together with the world’s first immersive PS4 gaming experience on a smartphone through PS4 Remote Play.
As seen in the leaks, the Sony Xperia Z3 will be available in 4 different colours – black, white, copper and silver green, and as expected, it features minor improvements from the last generation Xperia Z2. It has a 5.2” 1080p display and a new 7.3mm super-slim rounded aluminium frame. Sony has also improved the water-resistance ability, giving it the highest waterproof rating of IP65/68 (waterproof and dust-tight).
On the insides, it features a slightly improved 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Other specs include a 3,100mAh built-in battery, LTE connectivity, NFC, Adreno 330 GPU and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
As for the camera, while it may still feature a 20.7MP sensor, Sony has made some improvements in this department too. With a 1/2.3” ExmorRS for mobile sensor and BIONZ for mobile processing engine, you can capture pictures and videos in sharp and vivid detail. It also has a new 25mm wide-angle Sony G Lens, allowing you to capture more things in a single frame. On top of that, the Xperia Z3 now features the world’s first ISO 12800 sensitivity in a smartphone to capture every details, even in low light.

Finally, the Xperia Z3 is now one of the only smartphones with PS4 Remote Play. This means hat users can now use the Xperia Z3 smartphone as a remote screen to connect to and control games on the PS4. Users will also be able to pause their game on the TV and continue playing them anywhere at home on the Xperia Z3 – just connect the Xperia smartphone to PS4 via home Wi-Fi and use the DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller with the GCM10 Game Control Mount.
