This year will mark yet another edition of the regional football tournament, AFF Suzuki Cup which will begin in October. The tournament will also signify another important occasion for our national football team: the launch of another brand new jersey (not the one shown above) by the team’s current kit manufacturer, Nike.
For this year’s launch though, the company will be taking a slightly different approach to introduce the new Harimau Malaya’s jersey to fans as compared to the iterations.
Apparently, the new Harimau Malaya jersey will be revealed through the new Nike Football app ahead of the jersey’s release into retail stores. This plan was made known to us earlier today during a media session for the app with Nike Malaysia.
The company is still keeping the launch date a secret though but judging from the 2012/2013 jersey which was launched on November 2012, those dates should be closer to the start of the tournament. For those who are wondering, Harimau Malaya will begin its AFF Suzuki Cup 2014’s campaign on 23 November against the winner of the tournament’s qualifying stage at the National Stadium in Singapore.
