We’ve been seeing a lot of leaked pictures showing off the upcoming iPhone 6 over the past couple of months, now, it’s the retail box’s turn to get some limelight. Pictures of an iPhone 6 sitting in a retail box have been making their way around the internet over the past few days.
According to the pictures that were apparently taken by an Apple beta tester, the retail box looks pretty much the same as any other iPhone retail box but it fits the purported bigger iPhone 6. According to TechRadar who first shared those pictures, they went through the EXIF information on the images and found no reason for them to believe that they are fake.
Of course, as usual, take these leaks with a pinch of salt. TechRadar updated the post mentioning that the pictures look suspicious because of several factors. Firstly, the highly rumored Health app is missing on the homescreen printed on the box, and it is highly possible that the entire thing could be another one of those Chinese knockoffs.
Nonetheless, less than a month to 9 September 2014, the date Apple is rumored to host an event to announce its next generation iPhone(s), are you excited?
