With the success of InstaB for Baby, the Instagram for the baby world that allows parents to share their baby’s picture, growth and mood all in a single image, StrongByte Studio Sdn Bhd (previously known as Icon Mobi) has added a new feature to the InstaB experience: support for the recently-launched Android Wear platform.
The company has introduced a companion app for InstaB for Baby that works on Android Wear devices like the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live. Parents can now browse through news feeds, like posts from their friends, and check out promotional items all from the face of their watches.
Users can get the companion app on their Android Wear devices by just updating the InstaB for Baby app on their phones to the latest version, and the companion app will be loaded on to the watch automatically. However, the companion app will not work on Android devices running below Android OS version 4.3. Although Android Wear is not yet available in the country (at least not yet), it is encouraging to know that local developers are already extending support for the new platform.
After the team behind InstaB for Baby made the app available on Android in May, the company has been heavily investing on the platform since. There are now over 100 minimalist overlay skins that give users more variety. In addition, the app also introduces a Mini achievement badge system for every little milestone your baby makes. Users can also decorate each baby pictures with specially-designed stickers available within the app. These personalised baby pictures can be shared to friends in the app itself or to other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and more.
