Samsung’s latest Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S, will be available to the public starting from this Friday. To celebrate the occasion, the company has announced several offers, including a RM500 discount off the retail price of the Galaxy Tab S for Galaxy Life app users.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is available in two variants, an 8.4-inch variant as well as a larger 10.5-inch model. When it hits Malaysian stores this Friday, the 8.4-inch variant will retail at RM1699, while the 10.5-incher will be selling at RM1999. Hence, the RM500 discount will be a pretty sweet deal, offering up to 30% off a brand new tablet.

But do take note that the offer is only valid at only two Samsung Experience Stores: one at Gurney Paragon in Penang, and the other at The Gardens Mall. An equally important point to note is that the offer is only valid for the first 100 purchases at the two outlets combined, so you will have to be fast to redeem it.

For the other customers, Samsung will also be holding a “Tab S Challenge” happening in-store at three locations: the aforementioned two Samsung Experience Stores as well as the Samsung Experience Store in Mid Valley Megamall. The actual mechanics of the challenge are not yet revealed, but customers can expect “a more holistic understanding of the GALAXY Tab S”. On top of that, those who participated in the challenge (and filled up a survey form as well as purchasing a Galaxy Tab S) will also receive the following free gifts: a 16GB USB thumbdrive, a RM100 Zalora voucher, a Galaxy Tab S Simple Cover, and a Boost Juice voucher worth RM9.50.

The “Tab S Challenge” will be held for this weekend only at the three outlets and at these times:
