Good Old Games is possibly the second best place on the internet to get good deals on games. While it usually sells older titles and indie games, it also offers a lot of freebies and excellent deals; like giving away Fallout and Fallout 2 just before the license expired. This year GOG is kicking off their summer sale with a series of contests and giveaways; and something it is calling the Adrenaline Rush.
The Adrenaline Rush will take place for 24 hours, and at the time of this writing it appears that six of those hours have already passed. During this time period, GOG will give away a random game at 3 hour intervals. There is no warning about when this happens, or even any indication on the front page that it has happened. Instead, gamers will have to watch the change of games carefully for which title is the chosen one.
Aside from that, GOG is also running a contest to name a series of games uploaded to its Youtube page. The first 10 people who successfully name all the games in the short 5 second videos will receive a voucher worth US$9.99 to be spent on GOG.com. New videos are being uploaded all the time, so it would be prudent to keep an eye on the GOG Twitter account and Facebook page.
There is also the usual discounts and game bundles. Although, unlike Steam, the game rotate every hour. Gamers may be a little more broke than usual for the next few weeks.
