Aside from the occasional heart, fistbump, smileypoop or /crysmile, I don’t use that many emoji in my daily life. That being said, several members of some whatsapp groups I’m a part of can create entire chronicles from random emojis and characters in true ASCII loving. In the new Unicode 7.0 standard, about 250 new emoji will be added to brighten up your texting life.
According to the Unicode Consortium which dictates the standards, the new set of emoji characters are mostly derived from characters that have been widely used in Wingdings and Webdings font, that include a middle finger and the Vulcan Salute. I’m not sure the middle finger emoji is a good idea but hey, worse things have happened at sea.
