Lenovo Malaysia has announced price reductions for two of its higher-end smartphones. An advertisement published on a national newspaper has revealed that both the Vibe X and the flagship Vibe Z will receive price reductions of RM200.

The Lenovo Vibe X is the company’s first model in the Vibe series, and is targeted as a glamourous device suited for those who love taking pictures both with the rear and front cameras. Equipped with a MediaTek MTK6589T 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, the Vibe X also packs a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera sensors. The front-facing camera also features software algorithms that enhances the human face, making it a selfie-centric camera.

The Vibe Z, on the other hand, is the company’s flagship smartphone. The first Lenovo smartphone to feature a Qualcomm processor, the Vibe Z sports a Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, and a similar 13MP front/5MP rear camera sensor setup as the Vibe X.

The Vibe X retailed at RM1299 when it was launched in Malaysia three months ago, while the Vibe Z was sold at RM1799 at launch. Effective yesterday, however, the Vibe Z is now for sale at RM1599, while from tomorrow, the Vibe X will be sold at RM1099. This price will be reflected in all authorized retailers of Lenovo smartphones, as well as in the ongoing Lenovo Game On roadshow happening now until this weekend at 1 Utama.

For more information on the roadshow, check out Lenovo Mobile Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
