Electronic Arts is currently offering award-winning first person shooter Battlefield 3 for free on Origin. This is part of the Origin ‘On The House’ campaign, where games are periodically given away for free. Naturally, this is only the base Battlefield 3 title without the expansion packs and extra DLC.
The Battlefield 3 offer will last until 4 June 2014 and will be replaced with another game that EA deems worth giving away. This title follows the previous offer of Dead Space also released for free on Origin last month.
Alongside this offer is Plants vs Zombies Game of the Year edition, which is also free for everyone until 17 June 2014. EA has been trying to boost the profile of Origin as of late, and the recently instituted ‘On The House’ promotions have made it at least somewhat worth checking in every now and then.
