In a day and age where hybrid laptops are all the rage and larger tablets are starting to rear their heads in the market, HP have decided to work on a little bit of an anomaly – The 14inch Android laptop, the SlateBook 14. The strange device has not been announced yet, but it has debuted on the HP site and has decent enough specs, yet I have yet to ascertain who exactly they are targeting. The SlateBook has a 14inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage as well as Beats technology and a full keyboard.
Tablet-Laptops are definitely not a new thing but seeing the track record, I’m not too convinced about the longevity of this device from HP. What hope does a tablet which doesn’t detach from its keyboard have in this world where form is everything? Well we can only see when it does get announced, after all I was wrong about the Note.
