UOB Bank may have revealed the retail prices of Sony Mobile’s latest Xperia smartphones coming to Malaysia soon. Besides listing the Sony Xperia Z2‘s retail price, the prices of the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia M2 were also revealed in a promotional brochure for the bank’s online store.
In an online brochure of the UOB InStore, it is shown that the Sony Xperia Z2’s retail price is RM2399 – the same as its previous Xperia Z1 flagship and crucially, the same retail price as the Samsung Galaxy S5. Besides that, the retail prices of the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia M2 are listed as RM1299 and RM999 respectively.
However, there is an error with the retail price of the other Sony Mobile smartphone listed in the brochure. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact – announced just last week in Malaysia at RM1699 – is priced at RM1799, which is RM100 more than the official pricing. Now, we won’t speculate that this means the retail prices of the other Sony smartphones listed will be RM100 less – making them very, very attractive indeed – but this nevertheless is a very good indicator of the retail prices of the three smartphones which are yet to be available in Malaysia.
It must also be noted that the devices are only available for pre-order at the moment at the UOB InStore, so delivery of the devices will only be conducted when the devices are eventually available in the country.
