Samsung Malaysia will be opening pre-orders for the new Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone beginning from next Friday, March 28 – the day after the official launch in Malaysia.
The South Korean giants’ flagship Android smartphone will be available globally from April 11 in over 150 countries simultaneously – an unprecedented feat for any company. We can now confirm that official Samsung stores in Malaysia will be accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S5, with the following details:
Pre-Order period: March 28 – April 10

Pre-Order Price: RM2399, no bundle promotions with Gear 2/Gear 2 Neo/Gear Fit
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in Malaysia from April 11 onwards at a retail price of RM2399. For those planning to place an order for the Galaxy S5 with the Samsung Elite Partners, do note that some outlets may require you to place a deposit while others will not. They will then be required to collect their devices at the outlet where they placed their orders (exact availability date will be provided by the respective dealers – but will likely to be April 11).
In addition, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit will be showcased in over 1400 stores worldwide beginning from today. While the initial markets will be focused in Western countries like the US and Switzerland, we can confirm that Malaysia will be part of the 61 countries which will see the latest devices on display at Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores and key retailers later on before the global April 11 availability.
