First revealed to the world just before IFA 2013, the Alcatel One Touch Idol S is finally coming to Malaysia very soon according to the brand’s local distributor, Ten Ten Telecommunications S/B. As you might be able to recall, the Idol S is a mid-range Android 4.2 smartphone that is packed with 4.7-inch 1280×720 IPS display that is protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass and oleophobic coacting.
Additionally, the device is also powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8930 dual-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. There are also 4GB worth of internal storage space inside the Idol S with half of it are accessible by users. Other features of Idol S also include 8-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixels front-facing camera, microSD card support of up to 32GB, 2000mAh battery and LTE support.
Priced at RM 899, the Idol S will be made available exclusively at the Alcatel One Touch’s roadshow in Plaza Low Yat from 6 to 12 January before making its way to other retailers throughout the country.
