Popular Malaysian-based gaming laptop reseller Illegear has just been appointed as the official distributor for Gigabyte gaming laptops in Malaysia. Illegear will be the official partner for Gigabyte to sell as well as offer support for Gigabyte’s range of high-performance Ultraforce gaming laptops. To kick things off, Illegear is offering three Gigabyte Ultraforce gaming laptops for the Malaysian market: the P25X v2, P27G v2 and the “Ultraforce” P35W v2.
All three Gigabyte models coming to Malaysia via Illegear were just announced in Taipei last month, with the sleek P35W v2 only announced some three weeks back. These models pack exceptional performance with the latest-generation NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics, up to Intel Core i7 Haswell processors, matte Full HD IPS displays and up to an insane FOUR HDD storage bays, these Gigabyte laptops pack a mean punch.
Let’s start with the P25X v2. It’s a 15.6-inch premium gaming laptop, packing the highest-end mobile GPU from NVIDIA, the GeForce GTX 880M with 8GB GDDR5 memory, 8GB RAM, and storage options of up to two mSATA SSDs and one HDD in RAID 0, this is as high-end as 15.6-inch gaming laptops get. Its 1080p IPS matte display delivers 178° wide-angle view, reduces eye strain and eliminates image contamination due to glare from conventional room lighting with additional 72% NTSC wide color gamut that helps enhance both image quality and details.
The embedded 4 speakers plus 1 subwoofer renders dynamic yet realistic surround sounds. The built-in high-end Blu-ray Rewritable Drive supports all the latest media in crystal clear HD quality yet records data to BDXL format as much as 128GB.
The larger model, the P27G v2 packs a slower GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB GDDR5 memory, 8GB RAM and only two 2W speakers, but retains the Core i7, tri-storage options, Blu-Ray combo drive. But, the model itself is significantly larger, offering a massive 17.3-inch Full HD matte IPS display with 72% NTSC wide color gamut.
Rounding up the three models is the sleek P35W v2. Unlike its rather mechanical-sounding name, Gigabyte built this to be a challenger to the Razer Blade, claiming the P35W v2 to be the lightest 15.6-inch gaming laptop at 2.16kg and measuring only 20.9mm thick.
Packing an impressive NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M, Core i7 Haswell chipsets, matte IPS Full HD display, and even two 1.5W speakers and a subwoofer, this is one no-compromise Ultrabook-sized gaming laptop.
Any concerns about each of the laptops’ heat management is also cooled (pardon the pun) by the Gigabyte-exclusive Supra-Cool technology, featuring dual thermal pipes and two dedicated cooling fans for the GPU and CPU.

All Gigabyte Ultraforce gaming laptops purchased with Illegear will come with two years international warranty as standard. In addition, depending on the model, each purchase will also be bundled with a Gigabyte Gaming Mouse M6900 and a Gigabyte Gaming Laptop Backpack.
