As per our report earlier this week, Alcatel One Touch is scheduled to launch two new smartphones in our market tomorrow – namely, the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ and Idol Alpha. Despite that, we have since learned that both device are already available in Malaysia since 17 February at the on-going Alcatel One Touch road show in Plaza Low Yat.
So, we made a quick visit to the road show earlier today to verify what we’ve heard and it turned out to be true.
As a refresher for those who are no familiar with the Idol X+, the dual-SIM Android smartphone is equipped with 5-inch full HD IPS display together with 2.0GHz Mediatek MT6592 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It also comes with 13.1-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels front camera and 2500mAh battery.
Priced at RM 1299, customers not only receive the octa-core Android smartphone but also a screen protector, a flip cover, a JBL earphones, and Alcatel One Touch BOOMband companion smartband which acts as fitness as well as sleep tracker. We were also made to understand that this device will be released in other part of the country starting from next week onwards.
