NVIDIA Unleashed GeForce GTX Titan Black, With Fully Enabled Kepler GPU

NVIDIA GeForce Titan Black

So, the GeForce GTX 750 TI and GTX 750 are not the only new NVIDIA graphics card in the market. The company has also unleashed another new card to the market in the form of GeForce GTX Titan Black.

Unlike the GTX 750 TI and GTX 750, the new GTX Titan Black is based upon the older Kepler architecture. Don’t let that stops you from ogling at the card though: the GTX Titan Black is currently NVIDIA’s most powerful consumer-level graphics card, after all.

What actually made the GTX Titan Black different and more powerful than the original GTX Titan that was a year ago is that it features the GK110B GPU from GTX 780 TI. Unlike the GK110 GPU that was packed into the original GTX Titan, the GK110B GPU is fully enabled Kepler GPU which contains 2880 CUDA cores – the maximum amount of CUDA cores as defined under Kepler architecture.

As a comparison, the GK110 GPU on the original GTX Titan comes with 2688 CUDA cores. Furthermore, the GTX Titan Black’s memory clock is set to 7.0 Gbps just like GTX 780 Ti. The GTX Titan Black’s GPU does run at a higher clock speed than both GTX 780 Ti and the original GTX Titan with a base speed of 889 MHz and boost speed of 980 MHz.

Here is how the GTX Titan Black fares against the original GTX Titan according to NVIDIA’s internal test:

NVIDIA GTX Titan Black Benchmark Results

With great firepower, comes a steep price tag: the NVIDIA GTX Titan Black carries an asking price of USD 999 (RM 3,292) which might change once it arrives in our market. The availability of the GTX Titan Black in Malaysia is not known at the time being though, so you might want to give a call to your favourite retailer to learn more about its availability in our market.
