After being in the market for almost 8 years, many believe that it is about time for Microsoft to come out with the successor to the aging Xbox 360. Well, if you are one of them, then that day will finally happen on 21 May as Microsoft has just announced that they about to have a special unveiling event at Redmond, Washington on the said date.
Using “A New Generation Revealed” as its tagline, the event will be shown live online through Xbox’s official website and Xbox Live. Additionally, this post by Major Nelson has also given us the impression that Microsoft will use the momentum from the unveiling event on 21 May for the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on June in which they are going to showcase the full line-up of “blockbuster games”.
We have been hearing rumours and speculations about the next-gen Xbox for quite some time, so it is good to know that Microsoft is finally going to reveal it to the world very soon. Meanwhile, if you would like to watch the unveiling event, make sure to tune in to Xbox.com or Xbox Live at 1AM (Malaysian time) on 22 May.
