Typo: “Comes standard with Android Jelly Bean 2.2”

    1. Woops. Thanks for pointing it out. 🙂

  2. wat says:

The marketing material states Galaxy S4 as the official nomenclature for the phone, so you should address the device as such, not Galaxy SIV. Would you call the iPhone 5 iPhone V just for the heck of it?

    1. Good point. Thanks for mentioning it. 🙂

  3. Ricky says:

“activate this clock with the need to press Galaxy S IV’s power/unlock button”

You meant “without” instead of “with” right?

    1. Yes, you are correct. Thanks for pointing it out. 🙂

  4. john says:

May i know does the s4 camera have photosphere feature as in nexus4? Thanks…

    1. It has something almost similar called 360 photo. We didn’t have enough time to test that mode on this unit though, so we don’t know how different it is compared to Photo Sphere.

  5. Homey says:

chapree. cut yr hair please 😛

btw u should put some benchmark for the processor. I wanna know what this phone capable of

    1. Lucas Lau says:

That picture is not updated! Chapree has very short hair now!

    2. True what Lucas said. Fine, I’ll update the photo. :p
On another hand, our time with the device was too short and we didn’t get enough time to run benchmarks through it. We plan to do it, of course – once we get the opportunity to do a full review on it.

I like your fast response to reader comments. Dats the way!

Same old, not even a face lift lookalike of the S3. Nothing innovative in design, and mediocre improvements in hardware specs. The same reason as why iPhone 4 users would not upgrade to iPhone 4S – same old box, only bigger. Boring!

  8. c010 says:

i guess you are only looking at the design instead of the overall. Yes no doubt that the design is not much different compare to S3 but if you throw that aside, you have all the new features hardware improvement. furthermore the size of S4 is smaller and lighter, with bigger capacity battery and bigger screen. what else do you want? i strongly believe that there is a reason to stick to the similar design and form factor. So what else do you actually wish? something like HTC one?

  9. InvinceZ says:

we need clam shell android phone with dual screen feature. one screen for main screen, another for keypad touch screen 😀 each side has its own battery. yuummy

  10. c010 says:

what about flexi display where the form factor of the phone is just a stick. press one button the screen will expand/roll out.

  11. baDboyzs says:

There is a solid reason why Samsung made minimal changes to its overall external S4 design, other than making it slimmer and lighter than the S3, while further improving the feature/software.

Samsung is a marketing genius. Look at beautiful HTC One now beset with its fatal supply problem.

It is clear who is the winner here

  12. ah chai says:

    tis phone got 4G?(LTE)

    1. For Malaysia, it is not yet known for the time being.

  13. Steve says:

It would be better if you could put the review into a short video clip

    1. We’ll take that into consideration. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂

  14. Harb says:

    How much is it??!!

    1. Official pricing and release date is not available for the time being.

  15. InvinceZ says:

also can, just make sure display wasn’t washed out under sunlight. can? personally i like calm shell form factor…deswai..clam shell..hehe

  16. truman6 says:

well…like iphone 5..not big hype about it..

what happen to the phone market nowadays? where is the WOW!!!! feelings of those days when iPhone 4 with its new design & WOW!!! feelings of those days when Samsung Galaxy S (1) is out to fight with apple?

We are buying a repeat & repeat phone with some changes inside…Feels like changing old myvi to new myvi & then to 1.5 myvi..haiiizzz…

  17. repzale says:

the reason that sammy stick back to the similar design is because iphone 5 is just the enlargement of iphone 4S, thus, sammy copy it again..

  18. +_> says:

Capree, do you mind telling the unit you got was made from which country? Korea? China?

    1. Unfortunately, I’m not able to disclose that information.

  19. Nicholas Teo says:

i would like to ask , what would be the price range for SIV ?

    1. No news from Samsung Malaysia so far but being a flagship phone, I expect it to be above RM 2000.
