It looks like Maxis recently gave its TalkMore48 phone bundle a refresh, sign up for a 12- or 24-months contract with Maxis TalkMore along with a data plan, and you can get the HTC 8S from as low as RM399 or get the Nokia Lumia 820 from RM849.
Maxis TalkMore48 comes with 400 minutes of free talk time and 200 free SMS to all operators at RM48 a month. You’ll be required to sign up for a 1GB or a 3GB data in order to be eligible for the phone bundle:
