First announced in September, it is not yet known till now if Microsoft will actually release the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 Windows tablets here in Malaysia. As you can recall, it took the company quite some time to launch the original Surface and Surface Pro in our market. However, it seems like there is some indication that things might be slightly different this time around.
In a brief post on their Facebook page (shown below), Microsoft Malaysia earlier today pointed out that they are aware of the overwhelming interests from users regarding Surface 2. Hence, they working on making it happen and will provide a status update on the device soon.
In some way, that sounds to me like a subtle semi-confirmation for the arrival of Surface 2 in Malaysia. Then again, let’s not get ahead of ourselves and let’s wait for the status update that Microsoft Malaysia have promised very soon.
