Gigabyte R9 R270X Overclock Edition

As per many Add-In Board (AIB) partners out there, Gigabyte have also launched their own take on the newly released AMD Radeon R9 and R7 Series graphics cards. For the Radeon R9 series, the company have chosen to release two Overclock Edition products which features the Radeon R9 280X and R9 270X GPUs.

The name “Overclock Edition” might give the impression that these cards are clocked higher than AMD’s stock graphics card but while it is indeed true, there only a slight increase in both card’s maximum GPU clock speed at 1.1GHz. Additionally, other attributes of the cards are generally still identical to AMD’s standard specifications.

However, both graphics cards do come standard with Gigabyte Windforce3X thermal solution which features three thermal fans and the company’s proprietary Triangle Cool technology that is said to be able to significantly increase the efficiency of heat dissipation for the card. Other than that, Gigabyte also stated that both graphics cards are manufactured from high-quality parts and support for their in-house OC Guru II overclocking software.

Gigabyte didn’t informed about the local pricing for these two cards though but you should be to find more information about them from your favourite retailers. To learn more, visit www.gigabyte.my.
