DG Galaxy Note 3

The moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here, after much teasing, DiGi has finally unveiled its Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone bundle. As always, DiGi is offering the device with its Smart Plan postpaid plans, along with a 24 months contract.

DG Galaxy Note 3 Table

We’ve shared yesterday that DiGi sent a notification that they will be offering the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as a bundle for those who purchase the phone with a DG SmartPlan 148 @ RM148/month and true enough, it is here. All those who sign up for the DG SmartPlan 148 Galaxy Note 3 phone bundle will receive the Galaxy Gear for free. However, DiGi also made a note that the Galaxy Gear smartwatch is has a limited stock and will only be given to subscribers on a first come first served basis.

Should you sign up for a SmartPlan 148 just to get a “free” Galaxy Gear watch? If you are a heavy mobile user that utilizes all 6GB of data, 600mins of free calls and 600 SMS, by all means, do so. If you are a regular user like me who is on the SmartPlan 88 and hardly even use up the entire bundle, I’d say no. The difference between SmartPlan 88 and 148 for 24 months is equivalent to RM1,440 and the smartwatch retails at RM999, so you’re better off just paying for the watch.

Visit DiGi to preorder now. Shipment is expected to begin on 25 September 2013 or if you wish to, you can also opt to pick up your device on the same day at a physical store. DiGi is only offering the black and white option of the LTE Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with 32GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, check out our hands on video on both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear.
