He’s given us Morpheus the Sandman, written one of the best Batman stories ever told, and entertained us with some delightful literature. Now, he is trying to bring his magic touch to video games. Teaming up with The Odd Gentlemen, an independent game studio, Gaiman is set to release Wayward Manor by the end of this year. The game will be available for PC, Mac and unspecified tablets; although you can expect the usual names.
Interestingly enough, this game appears to be funded on a crowdsourcing method that isn’t Kickstarter or Indiegogo. Instead, the developers are making it available for pre-order now. There are also different levels of pre-order which is about standard issue for this sort of thing. Regular gamers will probably be just fine with buying the game 6 months before it appears in stores, but one wonders just how many non-gamers will buy into it just because of the author.
Check out the website yourself. Plus, it’s not as insanely overpriced as some other games.
