HTC recently introduced several new entry-level and mid-range smartphones to its Desire lineup of devices namely the Desire 700, 501 and a dual-SIM version of the Desire 601. The trio will be available in the smartphone manufacturer’s home country for now but hopefully, like many other latest HTC Desires, they will be made available internationally as well.
First up, the HTC Desire 700 is a mid-range Android device equipped with a qHD 5” display. Featuring BoomSound speakers on the front, it is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM on board. Dropping the infamous Ultrapixel camera found in the HTC One lineup of smartphones, the Desire 700 is packed with an 8MP rear shooter with BSI sensor and an f/2.0 aperture, and a 2.1MP front camera. Other specs include HTC Zoe support, 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, dual-SIM, HSPA support (first SIM slot only), and a 2,100mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 501 on the other hand is a slightly lower end device with a 4.3” 480 x 800 WVGA display. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, it has 1GB of RAM on board and 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD slot. It also has a 8MP BSI F2.0 rear shooter along with a 2.1MP 88-degree wide-angle front camera on board, perfect for those who like to take group selfies. Other specs include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 3G connectivity, and a 2,100mAh battery on board.
Finally, last but not least, the HTC Desire 601 Dual-SIM is identical to the Desire 601 announced a couple of months ago except that it now has dual-SIM support. Specs wise, the device sits right in between the former two new phones, sporting a 4.5” qHD display, 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, 5MP rear BSO camera, HTC Zoe, and HTC BoomSound.
As for pricing, the HTC Desire 700 is priced at NT$13,900 (approximately RM1,390), Desire 501 at NT$9,900 (approximately RM990), and Desire 601 dual-SIM at NT$10,900 (approximately RM1,090).
