Finally, it looks like Microsoft has given its Facebook app for Windows Phone its much-needed update. Back In April, the company launched a beta program for heavy Facebook users and Windows Phone 8 enthusiasts to help them test out the official Facebook app that is packed with all the features that you desire for and the final app is now ready for download for everybody, let’s give a warm welcome to Facebook 5.0 for Windows Phone 8.
Facebook version 5.0 comes with a host of new features and improvements including a complete overhaul of the user interface, improved navigation, support for high resolution pictures, post sharing, Facebook Timeline view, and more so hop on to the Windows Phone Store to download it now. Do note that it’s only available for Windows Phone 8 users, but according to Microsoft, they are working on updating the Windows Phone 7 version later in the summer, so stay tuned.
As for Facebook beta users, there is another separate Facebook Beta app for you to test out, giving you a chance to preview and provide direct feedback on future changes to the app.
