HTC Desire 601

On top of some pretty weird but unique smartphone accessories announced yesterday, it looks like HTC has got some new devices to show off as well – a mid-range Android smartphone, the HTC Desire 601, along with an entry-level Desire 300. Announced at an event in London, the HTC Desire 601 is a LTE device that packs a 4.5” qHD display. Beneath its hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon TM 400 dual-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. The back of the device packs a 5MP rear BSI camera that is capable of capturing 1080p videos, while the front has a VGA shooter on board.

The Desire 601 also comes with HTC Zoe with Video Highlights and HTC BoomSound, making it the most advanced mid-range smartphone available in the market today. The camera also features HTC Zoe support for advanced features such as Sequence Shot, Always Smile and Object Removal, the same features found on the flagship HTC One.

The Desire 300 on the other hand is an entry-level Android smartphone that packs some modest specs under its 4.3” display including a 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 1,650mAh battery on board.

At the same time, HTC also announced a new color option for its HTC One flagship smartphone – Vivid Blue HTC One and One mini. The Desire 601 will be available in selected markets across EMEA from September 2013 while the Desire 300 will be available in selected markets from October 2013.
