Apart from announcing their brand new Radeon R7 and R9 family of graphics cards, AMD have also announced a limited edition Battlefield 4 bundle which combines together the game and the company’s new Radeon R9 290X graphics card in one box. The announcement of AMD Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition is not exactly a surprise though given the tight relationship between AMD and DICE which also led to the birth of Mantle API (more on that in coming post).
Available for pre-order at selected partners from 3 October onwards, no price was mentioned as well which is again not a surprise since AMD is still keeping the price of Radeon R9 290X a secret. Apparently, only 8000 units of AMD Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition are available throughout the world.
