MHL Consortium recently announced its next generation wired connectivity standard, MHL 3.0, that supports lag-free 4K streaming and more.
With double the bandwidth compared to previous specification, MHL 3.0 can deliver Ultra HD resolution streaming, enhanced audio, simultaneous high-speed data, touch screen support and the latest content protection. It is also backwards compatible so yes, you can use it with your existing devices while waiting for 4K TV prices to drop down to something a little more affordable for the ordinary consumers.
