It looks like a lot happened over the weekend with regards to the upcoming Motorola Moto X phone, first up, Motorola posted a teaser for the launch date in an invitation scheduled for 1 August 2013 – that’s just a little over a week away. While the specs may not be top notch, the device boasts to be the first phone made and manufactured in the U.S. and will be highly customizable.
Press renders of the device then made their way to the internet showing off two color variants – black and white, though, it’s been said that Motorola will be making custom colors for that device, for you know, those who are sick of seeing the same old colors over and over again.
Finally, according to the latest benchmark information, it looks like the mid-range specs we’ve been seeing as of late might be the real thing. The picture shows a Moto X, model number XT1058, with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 4.7” 720p display, 10.5MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, NFC, 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.2.2 and packs a 2,200mAh battery on board. Score wise, Moto X scored 18,753 on AnTuTu and 7,143 on 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme
