In its essence, NVIDIA Shield is an Android handheld gaming machine in the shape of a game controller with a built-in 5-inch 720p retinal-quality touch display and powered by NVIDIA’s own Tegra 4 SoC. However, it is not just a one-trick pony: the NVIDIA Shield is also able to stream PC games remotely from a PC that is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 graphics card or above via GeForce Experience software.

Do note that this particular unit is a pre-production model (a.k.a the Project Shield) but NVIDIA assured us that the main functionalities and abilities that we captured here are identical to the final product. We will be talking more about the differences between both variants (hint: not much) very soon, so stay tuned.
