Update 26/4/2013: For those who planned on heading to Sunway Pyramid to catch Maxis’ launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, hold your horses because we’ve just received a statement from Maxis that the event is only for Maxis Corporate customers. Here’s the statement from the telco:
“We would like to clarify that the event happening at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre on 27 April (as per SMS blast sent) is for Maxis Corporate Customers only.”
But don’t be too upset, this doesn’t mean that Maxis will not be offering the Galaxy S4. As with the local launch of the device, it will be available in all Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partner starting from 10am this Saturday, 27 April 2013. Maxis will also host a roadshow at Maxis Centre in Gardens, Mid Valley from 10am onwards.
No further details have been mentioned regarding the bundles but do stay tuned as we keep you updated.
It looks like most, if not all, Maxis users were given a treat earlier today, according to SoyaCincau, Maxis sent out an SMS to its subscribers, notifying them about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 we’ve all been waiting for. No full details were revealed though, according to the SMS, Maxis will offer the Galaxy S4 at RM1,499 with a RM118/month plan; it didn’t even mention if the telco will be offering the LTE version or not.
As for the launch event, it will be happening on the 27th April 2013, that’s this Saturday so mark your calendars, at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. As you already know, DiGi has already started their preorder for the Galaxy S4, U Mobile’s ROI is still on-going (we expect the details to be sent over soon), and Celcom already has a Galaxy S4 page though, no pricing information has been given.
