We have heard rumors about it before but it is always nice to have the actual confirmation. Apparently, Samsung will be coming out with a smartwatch very soon as revealed by the executive vice president for the company’s mobile business, Lee Young Hee in an interview with Bloomberg.
Lee also stated that the device has been in development for quite some time but didn’t comment further on the watch’s features, price or release date.
Interesting news indeed but we are not shocked by the revelation though as there is already an on-going rumor that Samsung’s close rival Apple is busy working on a smart watch as well. Hence, it is only natural for Samsung to come out with one as well.
So, will smartwatch become the next big thing to hit the consumer electronics market very soon? Well, hope we will be able to find out soon enough.
