For those of you holding out to get a portable hard drive, perhaps this one from Toshiba will be another option in the vast sea of portable data storage. The Toshiba Canvio now comes in a 1.5TB flavor and if you spring for the top of the line, you’ll get the new NTFS drivers for the Mac and it will let you use it on both a Windows PC and a Mac with no problem. Let’s hope the newer Macs do come with USB3.0 though, or it will be a waste. The drives are going to set you back USD200 in early june but the Mac or Windows Only drives will cost you about USD120 for 500GB.
