Could You Go Completely Offline For 30days?

The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of self reflection, abstinence and fasting from dawn till dusk. During this time, one is encouraged to appreciate what often we take for granted as well as be humble. One of the biggest things I take for granted in my daily life is the availability of the Internet. I don’t think I could live a single day offline!  Think about it! No tweeting, no Instagram, no Whatsapp, no Google, NOTHING! I don’t know anyone crazy enough to actually go completely off the grid…

…that is, until I saw the hashtag #offlineExo. @eXodes is a brave member of Twitterjaya who has decided that for this year’s Ramadan, on top of the normal puasa, he would be puasa-ing internet. From the YouTube video:

“Exo is a heavy-duty, high-powered internet user who relies heavily on web services such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram and is also a huge consumer of downloaded media (TV, film, music, etc.). As a personal challenge, he decided to cancel his mobile data plan, unplug his laptop from the home network and go offline.

For 30 days.

This Ramadhan, follow his journey as Exo experiences a Ramadhan he will never forget (for better or worse).”

There is no way I could do what Exo is doing and I know that is the same for a lot of you too! So if you want to show some support for this masochistic Exo, hit up his Twitter Handle: @eXodes and Facebook page Here and if you want some questions answered by the man himself, tweet them with a hashtag #OfflineExo to one of his housemates @tenoq & @ganaeshd and you may just be featured on the next video! If you are part of our forums, head on over here to read about the whole thing.

From the Lowyat.NET team, God speed eXo, you’ve surpassed my 3 day expectation, go for gold!
