Disappointed because not too long after Asus finally launched its Padfone in Malaysia, it announced that the company is working on a Padfone 2 that was launched just a little over a month ago in Taiwan and Milan? Well, no worries because it looks like the Padfone 2 is reaching our shores, really soon. Asus Malaysia just sent out an invitation for the launch of the Padfone 2, scheduled for 13 December 2012, before the world ends and before the arrival of the next generation iPhone.
Just to introduce again, the Asus Padfone 2 features a large 4.7” display, a big bump from the original 4.3” one. It’s powered by the latest quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM, and is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavors though, we’re not sure which, if not all, Asus will be bringing to Malaysia. Camera wise, the back packs a massive 13MP camera that is capable of 30fps Full HD video or 60fps 720p video; the front packs a 1.2MP camera. As with the original Padfone, it also comes with a 10.1” tablet dock that has also been significantly improved compared to the first generation.
