Expected to be available in the first quarter of 2013, Microsoft Malaysia has announced that each customer that purchased Office 2010 from now till 30 April 2013 will be eligible for free upgrade to the new Office 2013. This offer is valid for the retail package version of Office 2010 and Office for Mac 2011.
The actual version of Office 2013 that one will receive once the software is officially out in the market depends on the Office 2010 that he or she purchased. As an example, customers that purchased Office 2010 Home and Student 2010 will be able to upgrade to either Office Home and Student 2013 for one PC or a one-year subscription to Office 365 Premium that supports up to 5 PCs or Macs as well as select devices.
