Listen up RTS gamers especially if you are a huge fan of the famed StarCraft series – Blizzard has officially revealed the release date for StarCraft II: Heart of The Swarm and Southeast Asian gamers will be among the first in the world to be able to play the game. According to the company, the game’s SEA server will be online on the same day as its SEA’s launch day – 11 March 2013 – at 7pm (Malaysian time).

The game will be made available in three different forms: standard, Collector’s Edition and Digital Deluxe. The standard edition is priced at RM 125 for the actual physical pack or RM 123 (USD 39.99) if gamers choose to download the digital copy instead. For hardcore fans, there is also the retail-exclusive StarCraft II: Heart of The Swarm Collector’s Edition pack which will include extra in-game contents for StarCraft II, World of WarCraft and Diablo III as well as the game’s art book, special edition mouse pad, behind the scene Blu-Ray/DVD disc and soundtrack CD for RM 318.

For gamers that purchased the standard version of the game – regardless of the retail box or digital download – will have the option to obtain the Digital Deluxe add-on for additional RM 62 (USD 20)
which will provide them the access to the digital in-game content that are included in the StarCraft II: Heart of The Swarm Collector’s Edition. Of course, one can straight away purchase the Digital Deluxe edition for RM 184 (USD 59.99).

Gamers are already able to pre-purchase the digital download version of either standard or Digital Deluxe edition of StarCraft II: Hearth of The Swarm from www.starcraft2.com right away. As for those who would like to pre-order the physical copy of the game, they can do so starting from December 10 onwards at participating retailers across the country and to make it more attractive, each customer that made a pre-order at those retailers will receive a beta key to StarCraft II: Heart of The Swarm.

Asiasoft – the distributor of Blizzard’s products in this region – will be announcing the list of participating retailers very soon, so stay tuned.
